Corrections Policy

Cafecito accepts correction requests involving source metadata, attribution, classifications, summaries, Story groupings, Espresso Events and Signals, retractions, and mistaken identity.

Use the contact page and include the subject Correction Request. Include the affected URL or record identifier, the disputed statement or association, the proposed correction, and reliable supporting material. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information.

Cafecito may verify the request against source material and other reliable evidence. Depending on the issue, Cafecito may correct, annotate, regroup, restrict, suppress, remove, or decline to change material. A source correction or retraction may be reflected without erasing accurate historical context. Requesters may appeal by replying with new evidence and clearly identifying the prior decision.

Corrections improve accuracy but do not guarantee that all copies, customer caches, search indexes, or third-party uses will update immediately.
